Donna Bull, age 28.

My first memories of makeup were when I was 6 years old, I asked Father Christmas for a Girls World three christmases in a row. I wasn't fussed about the hair slides and stuff, I just wanted the makeup! Then, later on I got more creative with felt tips and pins for piercings and tattoos!

Whenever I get a little time, I try and do something, sometimes I've only got half an hour before I've got to pick my daughter up from school and it's challenging but fun to create something weird and gruesome! My Chelsea smile and worm paint were all done in half an hour.

I love doing special effects, there's something weirdly satisfying about creating a horrible fake injury out of nothing!

My biggest inspiration is Maria Malone-Guerbaa. Not only is she a fantastic artist, she is also a lovely person and is full of advice. I also would like to learn how to make prosthetics (casting/moulding, etc.) and get better at painting realism.

When I'm not working or creating stuff, I like to spend time with my fiancé and my two children Lucy, 7, and Charlie, 2, and I am 30 weeks pregnant with a baby girl. We go for long walks and watch X factor while eating sweets and popcorn!

In ten years time I would like to be working full-time doing theatrical makeup on set, be it a television set or a film set and have lots of money. And have teenagers that aren't too grumpy.
