At this point everyone knows that Jared Leto's rendition of The Clown Prince of Crime in the upcoming film Suicide Squad is going to be pretty insane. From the moment I heard that Jared Leto, one of the best method actors of today, would be taking on the role, I knew he would make for an outstanding Joker.

We have heard all of the craziness that Leto has supposedly exhibited on set, such as sending Margot Robbie a rat, sending a video of himself with a dead pig to the cast. While we had very little doubt that Jared Leto would be insane, many questioned whether he would get the character right.

There have been many skeptics, which is understandable considering the changes being made to our beloved clown-faced killer. Will Smith, who is playing Deadshot in the film, sat down for an interview with Beats 1 radio and was asked about Leto and The Joker and he had some great things to say!

Will Smith says Suicide Squad is "Insane"!

The Suicide Squad trailer proved that it would be one of the darkest films to come out next year. There is so much to look forward to: Harley Quinn, possibly Batman, Amanda Waller, and so much more should all make for a great cinematic experience. This is going to be the first superhero film that is based entirely on villains and it is a formula that I think will work. Will Smith spoke about his co-star, Jared Leto. Smith stated this in his interview while on the topic of Leto:

"I've never actually met Jared Leto," admitted Smith. "We worked together for 6 months and we've never exchanged a word outside of 'Action!' and 'Cut!' We've never said 'Hello,' we've never said 'Good day.' I've only ever spoken to him as Deadshot and him as the Joker. I literally have not met him yet. So, the first time I see him will be 'Hey, Jared. What's up?' Not a single word exchanged off camera. He was all in on the Joker... I'm looking forward to meeting him."

Jared Leto is going all in as The Joker!

Say what you will, but one thing is for sure: Jared Leto is giving his all to put on an outstanding performance. Best known for his method style of acting, Leto is putting that technique to full affect with The Joker, this being confirmed by Will Smith and other co-stars of the film. Similarly to the previous incarnation of The Joker, portrayed by the late-great Heath Ledger, Leto has stayed in character the majority of the time during filming. This adds a level of authenticity to the role as we feel that the actor is truly living the role he is portraying. His work ethic off screen is outstanding, but will that translate into a great performance on screen?

Jared Leto is going to be amazing!

Jared Leto is really putting in the dedication that I don't think many others can. Since day one I have vouched for the decision to cast him and as each day passes I grow more and more confident in my opinion. The trailer showed just how maniacal he is going to be and it definitely felt authentic. Yes, say what you will about the tattoos, the grills, or the overall rock-star type look, but one thing is for sure: he is insane. Leto has always given the fans a performance to appreciate and I see no reason why this time will be any different. No, he won't be Heath Ledger, but he could be the defining Joker of this new generation!

I need Suicide Squad NOW!

With each passing day my excitement for this film continues to grow and grow. I loved the Suicide Squad comics, and The Joker is perhaps my favorite character in all of the comics EVER! I think the star-studded cast and dark undertones will be the reason the film succeeds and there is no doubt in my mind that it will. Hopefully my predictions will come true and Suicide Squad will be all that the fans are hoping for! We need it, we need it Really...Really...Bad!

Do you think Jared Leto will do well?
