The Wizard of Oz is already creepy enough, as I remember sometimes having to watch certain scenes with my hands barely covering my eyes. From flying monkeys, to massive tornadoes, to a villainous green witch, I found myself shivering from a constant shower of chills running down my spine.

I'm not sure who thought this kid friendly theme park would be a brilliant idea, but the park was unfortunately shut down in 1980.

Photographer Seph Lawless decided to brave the Yellow Brick Road and take pictures of the deserted park, complete with peeling paint and severely bulbous trees.

If that tree is meant to keep people out, then it has done its job.

In early 1990s, the theme park was opened once again, surging its popularity.

The park released 7000 tickets and they sold out within two and a half weeks.

I find myself looking down the roads, waiting for the Cowardly Lion, Scarecrow, and Tin Man to come marching towards me at any minute.
