October is officially here, which means one thing- Halloween is fast approaching! If you are looking for some costume inspiration, be it gruesome or glamorous, here are some creepy creations to get you in the mood.

Karen, an aspiring make-up artist from Ireland, creates macabre make-up looks that are influenced by characters from TV and the big-screen, by using affordable products to create a big budget look without breaking the bank.

Halloween is my favourite time of the year so this is where my love for spooky, sfx make-up, and character creating came from. For the majority of these looks I tend to use everyday make-up products or face-paint. The guts and gore can be created using liquid latex / tissue paper, and the ultimate accessory- fake blood!

Silence of the Lambs: An ode to one of my favourite films, books, and characters of all time. I painted on the Hannibal Lecter mask using face-paint and eye-liner
