With a show of hands, how many of you are fans of Stephen King's The Mist...? If you raised your hand, get ready to get uber excited - you might even faint! If you're not already a fan, you're about to become one. The Weinstein Company's Dimension Television are in the works of developing a Mist TV series, with King's blessing.

It's been about eight years since Frank Darabont of The Walking Dead's awesome movie adaption of King's book' I believe the movie did the novella justice. Us Mist fans haven't seen our beloved novella adapted since then, so we're ready for someone to take another shot at it and Dimension Television is doing just that.

If you're not familiar with the book or movie then let me grace you dudes and dudettes with a quick summary to get you guys ready for the TV series, ready? Boom here it is!

"The morning after a violent thunderstorm, a thick unnatural mist quickly spreads across the small town of Bridgton, Maine, knocking out the town's power and damages the home of David Drayton. Because of the power outage David Drayton and his son head into town to gather food and supplies at the local grocery store. Only to have a thick unnatural mist trap them inside, hiding in the mist are deadly creatures."

Sounds pretty amazing, doesn't it? Well that's because it is. Bob Weinstein, co-chairman of The Weinstein Company and Dimension, said "The terror and drama in Stephen King’s novella are so vast that we felt serialized television is the best place to explore them in greater depth. He also added "With this show, Christian has created a fascinating band of characters and a story with infinite scares."

With Danish television writer Christian Torpe on board as the writer for the series, the big people up stairs are saying that they will take inspiration from both King's novella and Frank Darabont (The Walking Dead) movie adaption. I gotta say I'm pretty stoked to see how this pans out on small screen, so be on the look out for it and thanks for reading!

If you Like what you read give that big'ol blue button a smack!
