Making us all jump to the left in a Time Warp inspired happy dance, the cast reunion of The Rocky Horror Picture Show is giving us all the nostalgia feels. Beginning as an art-house movie which was utterly panned by critics, it didn't take long for this bonkers, suspender-clad, glitter-coated, musical comedy to achieve the cult status it deserves. Now reaching its 40th anniversary, the clan has reunited after 25 years for a special issue of Entertainment Weekly.
When the car of newly engaged couple Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon) breaks down one windy night, they find themselves winding up in the weird and wacky wonderland that is Dr. Frank-N-Furter's castle. What happens next is a wild, seductive and debaucherously dressed night of superbly choreographed dancing, hosted by the sweet transvestite, Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry) himself.
40 years on and the gang are still looking fantastic, including Tim Curry who suffered a stroke back in 2013. Reminiscing, Curry revealed that he almost played his character, the cross-dressing mad scientist, as a German but rethought that plan once he overheard a woman speak with a plummy English accent on public transport. Whilst the 69-year-old Susan Sarandon laughs that, still, even after all this time, she constantly has fans coming up to her and asking her to perform the Time Warp.
