I can now officially say that The Flash is back, baby! Hot damn, it was great too. This episode answered a few questions of mine and it looks like next episode is where we will see a whole lot more! I can sit back and relax because this season started off great, so let's talk about it.

The Beginning Dream Sequence

I loved this part. It felt like the beginning of Avengers: Age of Ultron, where it's an awesome fight that feels like it was ripped right out of a comic book. In this case, it is a dream sequence. Barry is fighting Captain Cold and Heatwave, and Firestorm came in to help. We saw the whole team back at S.T.A.R. Labs as they all rejoiced and then I knew it was a dream when we saw Eddie, who is dead. Then Harrison Wells comes and stands up from his wheelchair and tells Barry he's ready to help fight crime by himself. It cuts back to present day of Barry standing in S.T.A.R. Labs alone. I thought that was a very powerful moment that started off this great episode.

On His Own

It is 6 months after the events of the finale and Barry is holding himself responsible for the deaths of Eddie and Ronnie. Let's talk about Ronnie for a minute. We find out in a flashback sequence that when Barry was closing the portal, Ronnie was "killed". He is not dead, I can bet on it. He was mostly likely sucked into the portal into Earth 2 and we will later find out what happened to him; Eddie is definitely dead though.

Barry wants to fight alone to keep who cares most about safe. The team convinces him to come back though, and it really highlighted everyone's character. Joe works with Cisco now at the police station where Cisco is providing the police with his tech gadgets. Caitlin now works at Mercury Labs and was also avoiding Team Flash because of Ronnie. When the season finale came out and we heard that Caitlin was going to become Killer Frost in Season 2, I was a little concerned because I could not see her turning (evil). After this episode, Caitlin's character has changed because of Ronnie's "death".I can see her becoming Killer Frost and it especially helps that she now works in Mercury Labs. She becomes Killer Frost in the comics in a laboratory, so its all lining up.

In the comics, Caitlin Snow was, like the show, working at S.T.A.R. labs, stationed in the arctic. She was working on a thermodynamic engine when H.I.V.E began to attack the laboratory. They attacked her inside the engine, but Snow broke the coolant system which covered her body with ice, giving her powers and she killed the H.I.V.E. agents. Snow realized her powers could be cured through sources of heat, especially those of Firestorm's and went evil. This could defiently be possible because H.I.V.E. is a threat and Caitlin will be working in Mercury Labs. So, we know we've come close to when we see the makings of a thermodynamic engine.

The Atom Smasher

The first new meta human from Earth 2 is the Atom Smasher. Albert Rothstein was a worker in Earth 1 (AKA the 'regular' timeline) and he was killed by himself from Earth 2. We don't know exactly what Albert was doing on Earth 2 but he was obviously affected by the particle accelerator before being put on Earth 1 after the singularity. He was promised by Zoom that if he was to kill the Flash, he would be able to go back home.

I thought that he was an interesting character. I like the fact that he used radiation. It definitely sets up the future of meta humans. Even though it wasn't the best, CGI is being more and more and it is making comic book TV shows a hell of a lot better! Atom Smasher was determined to kill the Flash, which only means one thing: Zoom must be pretty damn scary.

Henry Allen is Released from Jail

Harrison Well's message was the Reverse Flash, or Eobard Thawne, just to make that clear. It was a very interesting message and it's fascinating that he knew that he was going to be dead. This means two things for sure: one is that he is gone, for good. The other thing is that Thawne was not selfish, and he really did care for Barry. This will only leave that villain on a good note but make Zoom look twice as menacing.

Harrison Wells confesses that he killed Barry's dad and this lead to him leaving prison. He and Joe decide that it was best that he doesn't stay in Central City, so he leaves. We will probably see him guest star a few times this season but he is very much a supporting character.

End of Episode, Episode 2 and So on Predictions

Team Flash has reunited after 6 months of being apart. Cisco has made Barry a new suit with the demanded white symbol. They actually used a good reason to change it by saying the Flash from the future in the finale had a white symbol, and they cannot be afraid of the future anymore.

Then, at the end, we see Jay Garrick. Jay Garrick is going to be warning Team Flash about the future and Zoom. If you guys don't know who he is if you don't read comics, like my friends who texted me after the episode "Who's Jake Eric", he is another speedster, or another Flash. In this case, he is the Flash of Earth 2. This is where he, Atom Smasher, Zoom and Sand Demon (the villain from next episode) come from. Since Harrison Wells is no longer there to be the mentor to Barry, that role will belong to Jay Garrick this season. He is a lot older in the comics but he is probably in his late 30's in this show. He will probably be an older wise brother to Barry. Jay Garrick knows all about Zoom. Those who don't know who he is should be warned that we're seeing Zoom very soon. Very, very soon. Like, next episode soon.

How did you guys like the new episode of the Flash? Please tell me your thoughts and predictions and below!
