AMC's The Walking Dead is making a return with a brand new season this coming Sunday; last season ended with a cliffhanger that made fans demand this month to come sooner than ever. Just waiting only these few days is painful! The Walking Dead series and comic books gives the zombie apocalypse a whole different and much darker look than anything else. The long lasting storyline goes in depth with what the world would become in reality if a deadly rabies-like virus were to break out and spread.

Andrew wanted to stick to the comics!

Just recently, website ComicBook.com had the opportunity to interview The Walking Dead star 'Andrew Lincoln' about the upcoming season of The Walking Dead. However, during the interview, Andrew was asked if Rick is ever going to lose his hand as he originally did in the comics when the Governor was around. Andrew mentioned the idea to the special effect guys as he stated right here:

"You know, I campaigned two seasons ago when the Governor was around... I was saying, 'You've gotta do the hand guys!' And Victor, who was in charge of special effects, just said, 'No, no no no. Anybody else but not you. It'll cost a fortune with green screen and blue screen,"

Andrew was also asked if any other character would receive any long term permanent damage. For example, when Carl lost his eye in the comics after being unluckily shot in the head with a gun. He answered this question by saying:

"But you know, I'm of the opinion that certainly with where the story seems to be going this season, no one is safe of any long term damage. It's an extraordinary season because it's very intense and insular for the first few and then we lift our eyes up and it feels like there's a whole new horizon out there and it feels like it's very thrilling but also it's very dangerous."

Someone's going to get hurt badly this season! A fight for leadership or a new protagonist will most-likely cause more havoc upon the large quantitative group of survivors. So expect the unexpected this upcoming Sunday!

Should Rick lose his hand like he did in the comics? Comment down below! Season 6 begins Oct 11.
