The Anytown Show is a new show on Youtube that depicts characters from 90s shows such as Rugrats, Dexter's Laboratory, Hey Arnold, Johnny Bravo, Recess, The Wild Thornberrys, The Powerpuff Girls and Rocket Power all living together in one big town called Anytown.

The series was originally envisioned by Hey Arnold writer and developer Steve Viksten, who imagined about 90s cartoons living crossing over, after he passed away in June 2014, Alex Jones, a lifelong friend of him took his idea and developed the idea of The Anytown Show to be like The Looney Tunes Show.

Over the next couple of months Alex Jones developed the idea further and made a couple of changes to the show such as; The Powerpuff Girls not having super power, such villians from the show not appearing as well, Dexter not being a super cool genuis and most of all the Thornberry family living in the USA rather than travelling around the world.

Alex originally drawings were done in a Jessica Borutski style of the Looney Tunes Show Season 1.

The art style for the series was meant to mimic that of The Looney Tunes Season 1, the drawings were done in MS Paint.

Around December 2014, the art style for the show was looking ugly, so Alex changed the colored outlines to thich black outline and remained that way ever since.

Originally the episodes were supposed to be around 11-22 minutes, but Alex found it very hard to work on those episodes done at the same time, so they were done as 10-90 second shorts with music videos and Histeria put in.

As the episodes went along, the reliance on clips became less and less as seen in the current season.

And even further into this season, the opening sequence has been enntirely replaced with original animation done in MS Paint.

The artwork of the new season is going to be done mostly in FireAlpaca, which is a quicker tool and is producing new episodes which will no longer be shorts but full episodes around 11 minutes and very little reliance on clips, here are some sneak peeks.

The aim of the show is bring together old shows 90s kids grew up and put them together to relieve the nostalgic memories of watching the shows back then, it is also targeted to a new generation of kids who have never seen these shows before, and they would want to see what the show is about.

The third season will begin on October 30th and a christmas episode will premiere in mid December this year.
