It's Marvelous day for all geeks and movie lovers, in the macroscopic and microscopic world! Marvel Studios has officially announced what we all have been wanting: An Ant-Man sequel!

During the first day of New York Comic-Con 2015, Marvel officially announced that after it's $409.8M success, 'Ant-Man' would be getting a much deserved sequel and would return on July 6th, 2018!
And if that wasn't much of a surprise itself, here comes the real kicker.

Following our hero’s debut adventure in this summer’s “Ant-Man,” Scott Lang will return alongside Hope Van Dyne on July 6, 2018 with Marvel’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp.” The sequel will mark the first Marvel Studios film named after its heroine.

That's right, folks! Not only will we see the return of Scott Lang as Ant-Man, but we will also see Hope Van Dyne suit-up as The Wasp to fight alongside our favorite, tiny superhero against the forces of evil!

Now the announcement of a new movie also comes with a few minor changes in schedule.

Additionally, Ant-Man’s second adventure will lead to a couple of other films shifting their dates, with Marvel’s “Black Panther” moving up to February 16, 2018 and Marvel’s “Captain Marvel” landing on March 8, 2019.

Not too bad! We'll actually be getting 'Black Panther' five months earlier and 'Captain Marvel' five months later. The fact that we'll be getting these two films at all is what should warm any geek's heart.

And that wasn't all the news that Marvel had to announce today.

You bet your a-- there is!

As if the announcement of an 'Ant-Man' sequel wasn't enough to get our blood running, Marvel has also confirmed that three more films have been slated for the Spring, Summer, AND Winter of 2020!

Finally, three untitled Marvel Studios films will premiere on May 1, 2020, July 10, 2020, and November 6, 2020.

This news may also confirm that Marvel Studios is planning on going past their original 3 Phase Plan. Either that or they might be extending their Phase 3. One can only imagine...
