Quentin Tarantino, Matin Scorsese, David Fincher, Christopher Nolan, Steven Spielberg - there are some directors that are simply crowd pleasers. The amazing movies these guys make never fail to amaze the audiences and the critics alike. So here is a list of upcoming movies directed by some really epic directors.

The Hateful 8 - Quentin Tarantino - January 8, 2016

Summary - The Hateful Eight is an upcoming American western film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, and stars Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Walton Goggins, Demián Bichir, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen and Bruce Dern. The film is set some years after the Civil War in Wyoming, and it revolves around eight strangers who seek refuge in a stagecoach stopover on a mountain pass during a blizzard.

Why you should be excited! - Quentin Tarantino is arguably one of the most epic directors of the era. The story is very captivating and the trailer simply speaks for itself.

Silence - Martin Scorsese - 2016

Summary - In the seventeenth century, two Jesuit priests face violence and persecution when they travel to Japan to locate their mentor and to spread the gospel of Christianity.

Why you should be excited!- Martin Scorsese is one great director. The stills released from the movie are good looking. The story and the characters will ensure one engaging movie. Plus, the roles have been assigned to some really capable actors.

Bridge Of Spies - Steven Spielberg - October 16, 2015

Summary - Brooklyn lawyer James B. Donovan (Tom Hanks) is thrust into the center of the Cold War when he is given a mission to negotiate the release of Francis Gary Powers, a pilot whose U-2 spy plane was shot down over the Soviet Union.

Why you should be excited! - Steven Spielberg. WW2. Tom Hanks. What would go wrong?

The BFG - Steven Spielberg - July 1, 2016

Summary - Tells the story of Sophie (Ruby Barnhill), the Queen of England (Penelope Wilton) and The Big Friendly Giant (Mark Rylance) who set out on an adventure to capture the evil, man-eating giants who have been invading the human world.

Why you should be excited! - Every time Spielberg takes up such projects it never goes in vain. The story seems quite fun and whenever Spielberg has taken such stories, the results are something like The Adventures Of Tintin!

Quay - Christopher Nolan - 2015

Although it's NOT a feature film, Quay is a short 9 minute documentary by Christopher Nolan which revolves around the inner working of the Quay brothers' studio. It's the only Nolan directed movie we will see before 2017.

Alien: Paradise Lost - Ridley Scott - 2017

The plot of the movie is currently unknown but it will continue from where Prometheus left off. It was announced by Ridley Scott during the promotion of his sci-fi movie The Martian.

Why you should be excited! - Alien is arguably one of Ridley's best movies. A movie set in the same franchise will have a lot to offer.

Sully - Clint Eastwood - 2016/2017

Summary - The story of American pilot Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger, who heroically landed a troubled aircraft full of passengers on the Hudson River.

Why you should be excited! - After the amazingly crafted American Sniper, everyone has a firm belief in Eastwood's abilities of directing a heroic movie.

The Revenant - Alejandro González Iñárritu - 25 December, 2015

Summary - In the 1820s, a frontiersman, Hugh Glass, sets out on a path of vengeance against those who left him for dead after a bear mauling.

Why you should be excited! - It is speculated the Leo's performance in this movie, will ensure him an oscar (finally!). Helmed by the Oscar winning, Birdman director, the trailer of the movie itself looks promising.

Unknown Title - Wes Anderson - 2016/2017

Inspired by Italian neorealist and filmmaker Vittorio De Sica, this movie will mimic his dramedy, The Gold of Naples (1954). The central theme of the story is being kept under wraps at the moment.

Hail, Caesar! - Coen Brothers - 5 February, 2016

Summary - Eddie Mannix (Josh Brolin) is a Hollywood "fixer" helping the production of the upcoming film entitled Hail Caesar starring Baird Whitlock (George Clooney). When Whitlock is kidnapped by a group named "The Future," Mannix is the one in charge of collecting 100,000 dollars and rescuing him.

Why you should be excited! - Just check out this hilarious trailer. Its enough for getting excited.
