Few fans at New York Comic-Con would have realized they were in the presence of Jared Leto himself, but like many other celebrities, including Mark Ruffalo, Leto took his opportunity to mingle with his fans, unrecognized in his disguise.

Jared Leto, who plays The Joker in the upcoming Suicide Squad film, made his way around Comic-Con wearing a baboon mask, unbeknownst to the public, who posed for pictures with the legendary Clown Prince of Crime.

Taking pictures with fans, some of whom were dressed as Leto's Joker, Leto made his way through the crowd, clearly delighting in his covert disguise.

Some of these fans must be kicking themselves to have been in the presence of Leto himself and not have realized!

Unlike Marvel's Ruffalo, who took the anonymity as an opportunity to spend quality time with his son, Leto -- true to his Joker alter-ego -- took his opportunity to conduct some mischief... even finding himself a Harley Quinn to torment!

That CRAZY MOMENT when @jaredleto is behind you on the street and says "Hey Harley. I'm surprised you don't recognize my voice."

So it seems Jared Leto from '30 Seconds to Mars' managed to have his fun at Comic-Con this year.

It's fantastic just how much he's embraced the character of The Joker; it will certainly be wonderful to see him in action as he makes the iconic character his own.

Due to be released on August 5, 2016, Suicide Squad -- directed by David Ayer -- is shaping up to be a fantastic film.

Alongside Leto will be stars such as Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney, Joel Kinnaman, Cara Delevingne, Viola Davis, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Adam Beach, Jay Hernandez, and Karen Fukahara... Yes, Suicide Squad is certainly a ragtag group, but I have high expectations.
