This is pretty cool news. Way back in 1992, Paul Reubens played Oswald Cobblepot's (a.k.a. Penguin's) snobbish father in the movie Batman Returns. Now, we have news confirming that Pee-Wee Herman himself will be playing a different version of the Penguin's dad - this time on Gotham.

Per a report from Entertainment Weekly, at New York Comic-Con the Penguin himself, Robin Lord Taylor, made the following announcement:

“So we’re all familiar with Oswald’s mother, the fabulous, fabulous Carol Kane,” the actor said leading up to the news. “We don’t know a lot about his father… We just found out that I do have a father. And he will be showing up very soon, and he will be played by none other than Paul Reubens, a.k.a. Pee-wee Herman! He’s playing my dad! What! The! Hell!”

This is absolutely incredible, and it gives me even more reason to tune in to the DC on TV product. It seems they have a stronghold on network television, and I can't wait to see what's the come on the show!

Speaking of which, check out this promo clip from Season 2...
