At this point, we've had a healthy dose of Mark Ruffalo Marvel Cinematic Universe Hulk appearances; almost enough to thoroughly disintegrate our memories of Ed Norton and Eric Bana from what seems like decades ago. Now we have more rumors that we could see him again, in [Thor: Ragnarok](tag:956858).
Hat tip to JoBlo for getting the news from "inside sources" out of New York City Comic-Con. The rumor is that Thor and Hulk will team up to face Ragnarok, but it's unclear what the ratio of scientist-to-monster will be (i.e. how much Bruce Banner we'll get and how much Hulk we'll get).
Hulk is set to be featured "prominently" as part of the supporting cast. Awesome.
There's also a rumor that states a third planet (along with Asgard and Earth) will emerge in the film's story arc. Planet Hulk possibilities? Well, before you jump to that conclusion, do remember that there are nine worlds on Yggdrasil, and each has its own planet. So, bottom line is there are a lot of possible moves here from Marvel.
If true, this will go down as the first time an Avenger has had a major role in another Avenger's solo film, besides in [Captain America: Civil War](tag:994409) (which, clearly, has a big crew of co-stars). There've been other cameos from Avengers, but nothing this big.
I guess we'll have to see for sure two summers from now.
Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters July 28, 2017.
To be honest, I'm completely down for some more of this... Hulk Smash™.
