Okay so "The Affair" explores the emotional effects of an extramarital relationship, and its fuckin awesome!!!!!! i kinda thought going into it, i was kinda gonna start the damn thing and say yeah, its definitely a soccer mom show, a Fifty shades of grey for fancy new yorkers that don't work. but damn was i wrong i binge-watched the fuck out of season one, and boy do i have theories and questions! the main story is between Noah Solloway played by Dominic West, that dude from "The Wire" and Alison Bailey That Chick i don't know she's annoying anyway, but in a good actor way, so anyway, the two meet in the resort town of Montauk on Long Island. Noah is a kind of free spirited New York City literary teacher or something and Williams College alum who has had one novel published, and is struggling to write a second book. He is happily married with four children, but resents his dependence on his wealthy father-in-law. Alison is a young waitress trying to piece her life and marriage back together in the wake of the death of her child. The story of the affair is told separately, so the first half hour is one of they're perspectives, then it flips a bitch and the story is told over by the other side, it gets really entertaining very quickly. i love this damn show. watch the fuck out of it.
How Much did you love season One?
