(Spoiler alert! If you haven't seen the latest episode of The Walking Dead, 'First Time Again,' and want to keep it as fresh and clean as a post-rainfall summer's day, I suggest you come back after watching!)

Sunday night, The Walking Dead started up again with the premiere episode 'First Time Again,' marking the series's sixth season on air. With the first season starting in 2010, and the subsequent enormous success it has garnered, it's safe to say the creators, cast, and crew are equally proud of the five years of work they've put into making the show one of the best on TV.

Given this success, you'd also think that, after five years, a certain Rick Grimes might have seen at least one episode of the show. You'd think that, but you'd be wrong.

In a ComicBook.com interview with Ethan Embry, who played Carter on the show (R.I.P. that's a gnarly way to go, man -- told you there'd be spoilers!), he revealed a startling truth about his co-star, Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick Grimes on the show:

"I don't know if it's common knowledge but Andy told me he hasn't watched the show yet. He's just doing it and he wants to just keep doing what he's told and he's gonna sit and digest it when it's all over. I have a lot of respect for that, too."

Although the idea of not watching one of the greatest series on TV -- or even wanting to take a peep at your own starring performance -- seems a bit shocking at first, Lincoln's point of view actually makes a lot of sense. Clearly he's killing it in the role of Rick Grimes, so watching the show is obviously not how he gets constructive feedback.

But, when that sad, sad day comes that The Walking Dead ends (or, God forbid, Rick Grimes is killed off), boy does Andrew have a lot of awesomeness coming his way as he "digests" it all. Take a look at four pieces of classic Rick Grimes realness he'll be able to enjoy!

1. When he ripped a dude's throat out with his teeth

Nobody fucks with Coral.

2. When he did what had to be done

Poor, poor Carol.

3. When he went full crazy in Alexandria

"If you don't fight, you die!"

4. When he said the most badass line of the series

Damn right.
