I have travelled a few times to Norway this year and put works in Stavanger, Utsira and Hareid, here is a few shots of some of them inspired by my own love of these films/shows.
one of my favourite locations was an abandoned factory in Brandal Nr Hareid.
I found the settings in this place to inspire even more ideas whilst there, so intend on going back as there is 3 floors to the place and lots of old rusty machinery in what i believe was used to make cod liver oil.
The zombie stencil took roughly 16 hours to cut but i painted the piece in an hour and a half, I was very pleased with how it turnt out.
Aside from the factory, i also found other locations i felt needed brightening up and seemed the ideal setting for the character of Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
During my Norway invasion i went back to the island of Utsira who had invited me to do a permanent JPS horror gallery in the supposedly haunted basement of the former school, here is some shots of the works below.
In Stavanger i put a more censored version of Robocop as the town has alot of street art tours and also a silent hill type zombie nurse.
I also sometimes do very small works here is a few of those i painted during my tour.
I really enjoyed my time painting in Norway and the people there have been very welcoming and hospitable to see more of my works which isnt all movie based you can find me on instagram https://instagram.com/jps_artist/ or on my facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/JPS/241235295931632?fref=ts
i'd like to say a special thanks to Tor staale in stavanger who runs the successful street art instagram account Toris 64 https://instagram.com/toris64/
also special thanks to Fantehuset in Hareid and Tove, Atle, Arnstien and Maria on Utsira.
