For years, fans of the country music superstar have been patiently awaiting news of her much-needed return to the spotlight. And that day has finally come. Faith Hill has announced that she will be co-producing a daytime talk show hosted by American Idol alum, Kellie Pickler.
The show will focus on everyday topics such as cooking, home design, gardening, and various other home-based activities. The show will also be produced by The Oprah Winfrey Show veteran, Lisa Erspamer. The hope is to have the show ready soon so that it can be shopped around to networks for a 2016/2017 premiere.
Kellie Pickler will be joined on the show by one or two co-hosts, yet to be chosen. The show will shoot in Hill's home state of Tennessee allowing her to make regular appearances on the show alongside her responsibilities behind the scenes.
"She has lots of great ideas. She's also an incredible curator, so I think that's why having her behind the scenes is really valuable for us," says Erspamer. "Faith coming on board as an executive producer was definitely a big piece of making this work."
Faith Hill, known for hits such as "Breathe", "This Kiss", "Mississippi Girl", and "Cry" has remained mainly out of the spotlight since her "American Heart" single and video were released back in November 2012. The song, however, failed to become as successful as her hits of the past two decades. Will this foray into television producing become her new passion? Or is this something to bide time until she finally releases her forever in production seventh studio album? The world may never know. But at least we have hope. And I suppose at the end of the day, something is better than nothing.
