It's been thirty years since we watched Marty McFly and Doc Brown hop into the DeLorean and travel back in time in the iconic film Back to the Future.
Well, Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd aren't finished playing around with the past, as they are featured in Toyota commercials counting down the days until October 21, 2015 to release some sneak peeks at what the new Toyota Mirai hydrogen fuel cell vehicle has to offer.
In case you notice something significant about that date, you are indeed correct. This is the futuristic date the duo travels to in the sequel, Back to the Future Part II. The films predicted just what the future held, and while they didn't get most things right, the Toyota Mirai is cooler than anything envisioned. Michael J. Fox is incredibly excited for fans:
“Over the years we’ve had a lot of fun predicting which Back to the Future fictional 2015 technology would arrive by the real year. Now that we’re a week away, I think fans are going to have a good time with what Toyota sees as a true possibility for transportation. It’s actually really cool.”
This incredible Toyota can be "fueled by everything," as hydrogen fuel has the potential to be produced from renewable energy sources like wind, biogas, and solar energies. The only emission left behind by this car's tailpipe is water.
My green senses are tingling. This car sounds all kinds of dreamy! Now if only it could travel through time. I would want to go to Woodstock and watch Jimi Hendrix perform live. These YouTube videos aren't cutting it anymore.
