I don't know about you, but I'm the type of person who watches movies they love over and over and over again. Now while there are definite benefits to re-watching (you might notice more easter eggs or references), too much of a good thing can wear you down until you aren't even interested anymore. This actually happened to me back in 2012 before the premier of The Dark Knight Rises. I had watched The Dark Knight over and over and over in preparation and I found myself with little interest in seeing the third installment at all. I needed to do something drastic, and I was lucky enough to be friends with a talented guy who's been making fan tributes for years. Let's start out with a look at his Pirates of the Caribbean project.

Never Shall We Die

If that didn't pump you up at least a little bit, I'll be impressed. Consider me stoked for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales to arrive in 2017, and I might even watch the first movie tonight. Now let's move on to my personal favorite: a tribute to the X-Men franchise.

We Stand Together

From fast-moving clips to the more serious moments, every element in this video comes together to deliver an incredible look at everyone's favorite mutant superheroes (and villains). Next up is a switch to classic fantasy with a tribute to the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

War of the Ring

A lot of time is put into making these tribute videos, and the slight differences between them are evidence of the thoughtful care in each one. Specifically, as opposed to a swashbuckling rhythm or a fast-paced intense flow, the LOTR tribute feels nothing short of epic. That being said, the final video is the best no matter how you feel about the franchises listed here. Where the other tributes might pump you up or make you want to watch one of the installments, this one positively smolders. Ladies and gentlemen, I present Batman in all his gravelly glory.

Before the Dawn

I have never seen a video that made me appreciate the Nolan trilogy as much as that one, and while it's always awesome to see a fan express their appreciation for movies or shows or music, it's just plain impressive when it looks this good.
