Brooklyn Nine-Nine just started its third season and already they have cast a Parks and Recreation star to guest star.
But which one you ask?
Ron Swanson himself, Nick Offerman!
You had me at meat tornado!
Offerman will play Frederick, who happens to be the ex-boyfriend of Captain Ray Holt.
Set on Thanksgiving at the Precinct, Frederick and Holt will cross paths, the episode will also involve Terry's (Terry Crews) wife Sharon (Merrin Dungey) and the birth of their third child.
No more information about the role is available or how he will make his way to the precinct but the episode will air on November 22.
Offerman will join fellow season three guest stars. So far we have; Mary Lynn Rajskub (24), Bill Hader (Trainwreck), Archie Panjabi (The Good Wife) and Dean Winters (Law & Order: SVU).
Since Parks and Recreation finished earlier this year, Nick Offerman has gone on to star in Welcome to Happiness, Childrens Hospital, Gravity Falls, Hotel Transylvania 2 and most recently The Muppets and has a recurring role in season two of Fargo.
FUN FACT: Offerman’s voice can be heard briefly during Brooklyn’s end credits!
I couldn't be happier! Ron Swanson was one of the best bits about Parks and Recreation and now I can't wait to see what he'll get up to with the Nine-Nine crew.
