First off, I would like to say thank you to Moviepilot and Andrew Marco for inviting me to attend a press screening of the film, Bridge of Spies. It was an amazing experience! I got to meet the cast of the film which included Amy Ryan, Alan Alda, Mark Rylance, Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg himself.

Living the life!

I still can't seem to comprehend the whole experience!

Even though the press conference was about the film, Bridge of Spies, (it was such an amazing film you all NEED to see it) Spielberg had a lot to say about the film industry in general.

During the press conference things got a little serious and you could feel the tension in the air when one of the members of the press tried to comment on what Spielberg had said two years ago.

Steven, this is for you... two years ago, you predicted the implosion of the film industry. And I’m wondering, two years later, where your thoughts are on that now, and where do you see it going. And for the cast, where does a film like Bridge of Spies, like a serious adult drama, fit into the changing landscape.

Spielberg had a lot to say when he went to correct the press member! It just proves that you should make sure to do your homework folks! However, while Spielberg was giving his rebuttal he also shot multiple jabs at the superhero film industry.

Well, well, to clarify, I didn’t ever predict the implosion of the film industry - at all. I simply predicted that a number of blockbusters in one summer - those big, sort of tent pole, superhero movies, there was going to come a time where two, or three, or four of them in a row didn’t work... I was also just simply saying that I felt that that particular genre doesn’t have the legs or the longevity of the Western...

Spielberg basically says that the whole superhero film industry is a giant bubble that is about to burst. He doesn't think it'll last and soon there will be a time when they will no longer be blockbuster hits. It's hard to not believe in what Spielberg thinks, after all he is the one with the big bucks.

But don't fret! Spielberg also went on to say that nowadays there seems to be an audience for everything!

... there is room for every kind of movie today, because there seems to be an audience for everything. Even five years ago, there wasn’t an audience for everything.

So no matter what happens even if you still love superhero movies I'm sure that they will still be around! But could you imagine that all the films will soon just die out? What would you do if Batman v. Superman, Suicide Squad and all the new Marvel and D.C films that are soon to come out never make it.

Honestly I would freak out. I need my superhero movies!
