I love movies, music, TV shows. Writing about them or creating stories is my passion and dream.

If you thought it was hilarious how the sisters reacted to the present times of the original classic, then a sequel would provide even more humor considering the change in technology and the change of society as a whole.

Halloween is such an under appreciated event, just like Thanksgiving. A lot of stores will put up Christmas decorations as soon as Halloween is over. With Halloween you get the tall tales and ghost stories. Kids dress up in costumes that idolize their favorite characters or create new, original costumes all together. There are so many different ways to celebrate Halloween with family and friends, but my favorite way is to curl up on the couch and watch Hocus Pocus.

Hocus Pocus, released in 1993 by Disney, is a movie about this boy, his sister, and friend who accidentally release the Sanderson Sisters on their town. By working together they are able to defeat the sisters, or did they? They may have been turned to stone at the end of the film, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they were defeated.

Rumors of a Hocus Pocus 2 have been swimming around online for a while now. Bette Midler, herself, did an AMA on Reddit confirming that she would be interested in doing a sequel to the iconic classic Halloween film. Rumors of the untitled witch project Disney is doing with actress Tina Fey, have been confused for the Hocus Pocus Sequel. Bette has even talked to Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker and both women are highly interested in doing a sequel. The comedic film wasn’t a huge success, but fans of the film today still talk about it and hope for that sequel.

I wouldn’t mind a sequel to the film, personally, considering I was barely three years old when it was originally released, but I did grow up with the film and currently own two copies of the DVD. There are so many underlying lessons within the film, but a sequel would be interesting to see now that the three sisters have grown not only as actors, but as people throughout the years.

What lessons could the Sanderson possibly teach us today if a sequel were to be created?
