There are so many talented actors who have unfortunately left us much too soon. We are thankfully able to watch their films over and over to help us feel like they haven't passed away at all.

Those who are most pained with the loss are, of course, their families, especially their children. I always think of how tragic it is that these kids have to experience the highs and lows of life without the comfort of their parent or parents.

Below is a list of children who have remained strong and after their celebrity dad has passed. Their unwavering strength is an incredibly inspiration to us all.

1. Meadow Rain Walker

Father: Paul Walker

Meadow Walker created the Paul Walker Foundation to continue her father's quest to see the ocean and all of its glorious animals cleaned and protected.

I love so much about him. I wanted to start this foundation because I want to share that piece of him with others...I can't think of a better way to celebrate my father.

2. Zelda Williams

Father: Robin Williams

Zelda has been incredibly open on her Instagram with urging people to hold onto hope and to talk about mental illness. She hopes to shed a light on it so that there will be more support for those who feel suicidal.

Dad was, is and always will be one of the kindest, most generous, gentlest souls I've ever known, and while there are few things I know for certain right now, one of them is that not just my world, but the entire world is forever a little darker, less colorful and less full of laughter in his absence. We'll just have to work twice as hard to fill it back up again.

3. Paris Jackson

Father: Michael Jackson

In 2013, Paris claimed she wanted to be a heart surgeon to help people. She is also becoming quite the style icon with her recently dyed red hair, something her father was also known for.

He was an incredible father. We all loved him to death. He’d try to educate us as much as he could and was always looking out for us. He was very protective.

4. Matilda Ledger

Father: Heath Ledger

Michelle Williams has devoted her time to giving Matilda a very normal life, and therefore keeps her daughter out of the spotlight. Her aunt Kate Ledger has said:

I love telling [Matilda] stories about her daddy and how he grew up. I think it's so important for her to have a good sense of where she comes from in order for her to get to know herself.

5. Frances Bean Cobain

Father: Kurt Cobain

Frances Bean is just as artistic as her father. She is a visual artist who has the same drive as Kurt.

There is, with any great artist, a little manic-ness and insanity. So many people are content to settle. My dad was exceptionally ambitious. But he had a lot thrown on him, exceeding his ambition. He wanted his band to be successful. But he didn't want to be the f**king voice of a generation. In reality, if he had lived, I would have had a dad. And that would have been an incredible experience.

6. Bindi Irwin

Father: Steve Irwin

Bindi has been making moves (literally) on Dancing With the Stars and decided to do the show in honor of her father.

"I'd just like to carry on in dad's footsteps. I think that dad's spirit and passion lives in every single one of us."

We know their fathers are watching them from above, and I can bet you they are incredibly proud of the phenomenal young women they have blossomed into.

A shoutout to all the sweet, loving, and hard-working fathers out there who produce some of the most wonderful children.
