Dc has finally made it’s extended universe, which will stretch to 2020 with Batman v Superman being release in March of 2016 to kick it off. In these Detective Comic Universe-Opinion Post’s, which is abbreviated (DCU-OP), I will be writing about a certain movie in the Dc line-up. My speculation will mainly start with the Wonder Woman film all the way to my desire end of Dc films, and I will discuss what I want in these new films. NOTE: I am only speculating and I am a fan of Dc, and there will be spoilers.
When it comes to anything with source material rumors pop up every time, whether it’s from a reliable source or just click bait. Suicide Squad is the one movie that I can’t even wrap my head around, with the question being about how it’s really going to end, and rumors like the Joker being put into jail and the team fighting a mystic force don’t help at all. This movie has had some of the most unlikely rumors out of all these superhero movies, which is why I can’t wait for this movie to be released and for these rumors to be abolished.
A big part of next year's Suicide Squad will be the government, with Amanda Waller establishing the group of baddies, and Rick Flag briefing the team on their mission to survive. The government plays a huge part in Marvel and Dc’s comics, by building up some intriguing stories and making some of the most misconceived villains, such as the Red Hulk, General Eiling, Flux, General Stryker, and etc… The question for this film is how much of the government will they show and who, because I can’t wait to see the conflict of a world where there are beings were not even the world’s largest army could take on. In my opinion I think that Scott Eastwood might be playing one of the recent members of the Suicide Squad by the name of Nemesis.
This title is a direct shoutout to Jai Courtney and Joel Kinnaman careers, because these two actors track records for films have been unimpressive for the characters there playing. I honestly think that these two actors aren't the worst, but definitely need a great role to show how calibrated they are. I liked Jai in the role of Kyle Reese in Terminator Genisys and he is pretty good in the Divergent series, but he needs a character where he could really be a villain, because in everything I've seen him in he is always playing the bad guy. Joel Kinnaman just needs this role, because that horrendous Robocop movie just wouldn't allow him to show his talent and I believe that he has the potential to play a great leader. #WillSmithstealsthelead! This movie needs to put all these actors back on top of their game or on the A-list, especially Margot Robbie and Cara Delevingne.
In a movie named the Suicide Squad, you can assume that there will be characters that won’t survive till the end, as the synopsis suggests. When it comes to this ragtag team in the comics members, such as Captain Boomerang, Rick Flag, Deadshot, and Enchantress are a few of the core members of some iterations of the team, and I don’t want them to die. Personally the members that I don’t want to see die besides Boom, Flag, Deadshot, and Enchantress are Harley Quinn and Katana, because these are characters that I want to see in future Dc movies like Batman, and etc… El Diablo and Slipknot are just the lamest characters I’ve ever seen as a possibility to be in a film, and Killer Croc has a unique design, but if he ain't fighting Batman or in a rated R film, then I just don’t care for him.
