Hey guys! I am totally aware of how far away the Oscars may well be but all the more reason to get in a very early prediction of the big awards where all the talk is at. Like last year I will do what I think will win + what I hope would win. Made her on the 17th of October 2015, here we go!

Best Actress

My prediction for best actress goes to the on-fire actress, Brie Larson who stars in the much-talked about, The Room. The plot is as follows "After 5-year old Jack and his Ma escape from the enclosed surroundings that Jack has known his entire life, the boy makes a thrilling discovery: the outside world." (IMDb). The movie has gained some indie traction and critics are loving it so-far.

Predicted: Brie Larson (The Room)

Hope wins: Jennifer Lawrence (Joy)

Best Actor

I am a Leonardo DiCaprio super-fan and I'm sure you're wondering "What about The Revenant?". Yeah, of course, the film looks insanely good. But I'm hearing DiCaprio doesn't have much lines, which is fine! But I believe the great Michael Fassbender is on screen for literally all of the Jobs biopic. I recently saw Fassbender in the Macbeth movie and he was fantastic so there's no stopping the Irishman.

Prediction: Michael Fassbender (Steve Jobs)

Hope wins: Leonardo DiCaprio (The Revenant)

Best Supporting Actress

For this one I think Rooney Mara may bring home the award for the movie Carol. She has been getting bigger and bigger in Hollywood and this shall propel her into superstardom.

Prediction: Rooney Mara (Carol)

Hope wins: Alicia Vinkander (Ex-Machina)

Best Supporting Actor

This is a category that will be packed with talent from: Joy, The Big Short, Steve Jobs, etc. But I believe Benicio Del Toro from the crime-drug thriller Sicario will pull away with the academy award.

Prediction: Benicio Del Toro (Sicario)

Hope wins: Seth Rogen (Steve Jobs)

Best Original Screenplay

Once again, this will be a much fought category but I think the winner hands down will be the genius of Inside Out at Disney. I adored this film as a comedy, drama and all round great movie. The biggest contender is see for this is Tarantino's Hateful Eight!

Prediction: Inside Out

Hope Wins: The Hateful Eight

Best Adapted Screenplay

This beautifully shot movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy gets my prediction for best adapted screenplay. I think it looks too great transferred to the big screen to be chosen otherwise.

Prediction: The Revenant

Hope wins: The Martian

Best Director

For the second award in a row I believe it's going to The Revenant. I think Alejandro González Iñárritu is just too good to miss an Oscar and I think this could be his year again.

Prediction: Alejandro González Iñárritu

Hope wins: Quentin Tarantino

Best Film

The Danish Girl, The Revenant, Carol, The Hateful Eight. None of these movies do I believe will take home Best Picture award but infact, I think Steve Jobs will take it home. The Academy loves biopics and this is a quality one.

Prediction: Steve Jobs

Hope wins: The Hateful Eight

So there you have it guys. That's my predictions! Closer to the awards when the nominations are announced I will do a more in-depth look. But for now, that's my predictions.
