I've read the book, I've seen the movie, and now I'm going to talk about it.

October is the month to celebrate all things terrifying - films, books, shows, games, your laundry basket. With the darkening days and chilly nights, it's fun to curl up with a mug of hot apple cider in front of your favorite classic horror film. And what movie screams "Halloween" more than John Carpenter's seminal Halloween?

Released in 1978, Halloween is often credited with kickstarting the slasher genre. It gave life to many tropes associated with such films: the villain theme music, the death of promiscuous characters, the final girl. In fact, Halloween's "final girl," Jamie Lee Curtis, is currently starring in Scream Queens on FOX (which is appropriate, as her mother Janet Leigh became the first scream queen in Hitchcock's Psycho).

While it's easy to trace the careers of the film's stars, what about some of the lesser-known actors? More specifically, what about this kid?

The cutest murderer you ever did see.
The cutest murderer you ever did see.

In case you haven't seen the movie, this is young Michael Myers, right after he has finished murdering his older sister on Halloween night. For a coldblooded killer, he's pretty cute, right? Especially because most of us picture Michael Myers as looking like this:

Not so cute anymore.
Not so cute anymore.

So, whatever happened to the kid? The actor who played him was named Will Sandin, and it's next to impossible to find out if he did any acting after his thirty seconds of fame in Halloween. The internet is filled with rumors regarding what he did with his adult life: some people say he's a social studies teacher, while others say he joined the LAPD.

What people do know for certain, however, is that he regularly participates in the horror convention circuit, sometimes even participating in panels with other actors from the Halloween franchise! And of course, now he looks like this:

Still cute, right?
Still cute, right?

While the details of his personal life are up to debate, it sure is nice to see that an actor who played such an small but integral part in one of horror's most important films looks happy and healthy.
