On Twitter J.K. Rowling was asked by a fan what her favorite chapter from Harry Potter was and she actually responded. As a super fan of the book series I was very intrigued to learn the answer because as for me, I can barely pick a favorite from the 7 books let alone a favorite chapter!
She finally reveals that her favorite chapter from the series is Chapter 34 from the Deathly Hallows: "The Forest Again." To which a fan replied that she bawled during this chapter. Rowling didn't stop there, she also revealed that the chapter also made her bawl her eyes out.
"So did I, but it was the culmination of 17 years work and the most cathartic piece of writing in my life."
If you haven't read the books and intend to then don't read any further! If you have read them then you know that this is the chapter where Harry goes into the forest so Voldemort can kill him because he believes that he must be killed in order for Voldemort to die. It's also the scene where he brings back the spirits of his parents, Sirius Black, and Lupin. I know I got teary eyed reading this part I couldn't even imagine writing it!
Just for fun Rowling also revealed that you don't actually pronounce the "T" in Voldemort. We've been saying wrong this whole time!
