I'm a student at an awesome university! I love everything Harry Potter & The Avengers! If it's on tv or in the movie theaters I've probably

Don't go any further if you haven't read the Harry Potter books and intend to!

10. Nymphadora Tonks

Nymphodora tonks is a metamorphmagus, which means she can change her appearance at will. She was first introduced in the Order of the Phoenix as an auror, or dark wizard catcher. Tonks is also married to Remus Lupin. What makes her death almost impossible to get over is that before she goes into battle at Hogwarts she had a baby boy, Ted, or Teddy, Lupin. I can't help but think of Harry being an orphaned child just like Teddy is now!

9. Remus Lupin

Remus Lupin, was a former Defense Against The Dark Arts professor. Oh and he's a werewolf, who was bitten as a child by Fenrir Greyback. He is also one of the 4 makers of the Marauder's Map, known as Moony on the map. His death is hard to get over because, like Tonks, he has a newborn son, Teddy Lupin. He was also another father figure in Harry's life and it seems throughout the books that his father figures seem to all die!

8. Alastor 'Mad-Eye' Moody

Alastor 'Mad-eye' Moody is an auror and former Defense Against The Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts. His death is a hard one because he died trying to save Harry. He knew that Voldemort would go after him if Harry was with him because he's the strongest. What is even worse is that his body was never found after he fell off his broomstick.

7. Cedric Diggory

Cedric Diggory, was placed in Hufflepuff house and one of the four contestants for the Triwizard Tournament. When he was killed wasn't so emotional; it was the minutes after he was killed that made me bawl my eyes out. I think the movie's portrayal of his death made it ten times more emotional such as when harry wouldn't let go of his body and kept telling Dumbledore that Diggory wanted Harry to bring his body back. Then what makes it even worse is when Amos Diggory realizes what has happened and starts crying and screaming "That's my boy. That's my son."

6. Hedwig

Oh the infamous owl that is Hedwig. Although he never said a word, he was in every book and movie as Harry's closest companion. So when a killing curse hit him in his cage while Harry was carrying him, it was very emotional to read. It was also tragic how the movie played it out having Hedwig defend Harry until he was hit by a curse. Overall it's always worse when an animal dies in the book/movie!

5. Fred Weasley

Fred Weasley, was one of the seven Weasley children and if you didn't already know, he is a twin! Fred is also in Gryffindor house just like every other Weasley tends to be in. His book death I think was slightly more emotional because Percy Weasley would not leave while crying until Harry and Ron came to help Percy bring the body to safety. I couldn't help but get teared up during this scene because I followed the whole book series and he was always there whether it was to cause mischief with George or fight along side with Harry.

4. Sirius Black

Sirius Black was the godfather to Harry Potter, and previous occupant at Azkaban prison. Along with Lupin, he is one of the makers of the marauder's map, known as Padfoot on the map. Throughout the book/film it is believed that he is the reason Harry's parents are dead. Then when you finally realize he wasn't, you begin to love his character because he cares so much for Harry. When Harry was screaming trying to throw himself into the Veil to get Siruis back was just too much to handle and you can't help but feel the hurt that Harry felt. Like Dumbledore said, Sirius Black was the closest thing to a parent that Harry ever had.

3. Albus Percival Wulfrick Brian Dumbledore

Albus Dumbledore was the former Headmaster of Hogwarts. I don't even know where to begin with him. He was one of the most beloved characters of the series so it made it even harder when he died. He loved Harry like the son he never had. When he begs Severus Snape not to kill him, or so we thought that's what he was asking for, and seeing Snape get him with the killing curse was horrible. A man that Dumbledore trusted just killed him and watched as his body fell from the astronomy tower.

2. Severus Snape

Severus Snape was a former Potions and Defense Against the Dark Arts professor and also a former Headmaster at Hogwarts. I remember hating his character so much because he hated Harry so much, but it turns out he was always looking out for Harry. What made his death so unbelievably difficult was the fact that all this time he loved Lily Potter and loved her son despite that fact that he looks exactly like James.

1. Dobby the House-elf

Dobby was a former house-elf of Malfoy Manor and is was a free elf working at Hogwarts. He was also a lover of socks. This character's death I will never get over and I will always cry when I read or watch that scene. He was more faithful to Harry than any other character throughout the entire series and dies trying to save Harry's life.
