It's no secret that Pixar loves to leave little Easter eggs in all of their films. Whether it's the Pizza Planet truck or a reference to room A113, the animated classics will take any chance they can get to give a little nod to other films within their studio's family.
The most recent movie in Pixar's catalogue, Inside Out, charmed audiences of all ages and was immediately considered a hit both critically and commercially. As taken as we were with Inside Out, lots of people are already preparing themselves to fall in love with the next movie on Pixar's slate, The Good Dinosaur.
When the first official trailer for The Good Dinosaur was released, I was so taken with the visual effects and adorable characters that I didn't notice I had briefly met one of the characters before! Thanks to Redditor lannisterdwarf's keen eye, now we're all in on the secret.
The following Easter egg featured in Inside Out gave us a quick look at Forrest Woodbush, the Styracosaurus meeting Riley and her family on their road trip to San Francisco.
While there's no commentary from the studio on whether or not the statuesque dinosaur is Forrest, the likeliness is pretty hard to deny.
Since The Good Dinosaur has technically be in the works since 2009, Inside Out isn't the only movie to showcase one of their newer editions. A comment by hero-hadley on the same thread made note that Pixar's Monsters University also introduced one of our new dinosaur friends back in 2013.
With Pixar, almost nothing is a coincidence, and that most certainly looks like Arlo the Apatosaurus to me.
Whether or not these are actually Easter eggs or someone in the animation department just has a very standardized idea of what dinosaurs look like, it's always great to see fans come together to look for these kinds of things.
Pixar's The Good Dinosaur will reach theaters on November 25, 2015.
