Say it once, say it twice, but don't even think about saying it a third time! A sequel to Tim Burton's life after death, cult classic, Beetlejuice has been rumored for many years now, but now it looks like the dead will finally haunt our screens once again with Beetlejuice 2. Here is everything that has been said so far about the Beetlejuice sequel!

Familiar Faces Will Be Back

Over the last couple years, small bits of information have been teased about about Beetlejuice 2, coming from director Tim Burton, screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith, Winona Ryder, and Michael Keaton. Now, if you weren't too sure if this film would actually happen, then take a look at what Tim Burton recently said about the progress of the sequel.

Now here is what Lydia Deetz herself, Winona Ryder, has recently said about reprising her role.

It's sounding pretty damn good if you ask me, and to get your hopes up even higher, Michael Keaton has expressed his excitement for the film many times, but only if Tim is in the director's chair. Keaton has also said:

"I always said that's the one thing I'd like to do again, if I ever did anything again."

Even Geena Davis has expressed interest in reprising her role when she was asked this month about the project by saying:

"I would love to! That was one of my favorite movies, too... But ghosts probably don't age, and it's going to be 30 years now. Of course, I haven't aged, but I think Alec maybe has aged, perhaps."

So it seems like Keaton and Ryder are set to make a return to their hit breakout roles, with Geena interested in the project as well, along with Burton's direction. Where is that direction exactly going though? Here is what Beetlejuice 2 screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith has said about where the project is at so far.

"I've emailed with Michael Keaton. I know he's excited about the idea. I know Tim is excited about the idea. Where it stands now is Tim's got to get ready to make 'Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children', and then hopefully we are set, deals are done, and we're waiting in the wings ready to go right after 'Peregrine's' wraps up. The ideal timeline is we're really getting into it toward the end of this year."

Nothing has yet been said about Alec Baldwin returning, but now with Tim Burton's next film Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children set to be released on March 4, 2016, we should be receiving some more Beetlejuice 2 news very soon and hopefully it will be topped off with confirmation of a Danny Elfman score!
