Fans rejoice! The brand new (and possibly last) Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer has finally debuted, airing during ESPN's telecast of Monday Night Football. If you haven't seen it you can check it out here:

The trailer was absolutely amazing! There was so much new content that Disney blessed us with, but let's look at the 5 biggest things that we took away from it!

1. Is Rey really Han Solo's Daughter?

There has been a lot of theories going around that insist one of the main protagonists, Rey, is the daughter of Han Solo and Princess Leia. In the trailer, we see Rey traveling through the desert alone with her droid. A voice seems to ask her who she is and she responds with "I'm no one." So it seems that she is a bit of a rouge but as the trailer progresses we see Rey, along with Finn, speaking with Han Solo and they act as if they know each other. The more information that comes out the more likely it seems that this theory is in fact true!

2. Is Kylo Ren a....Skywalker?

There has been a lot of speculation as to who exactly the primary antagonist, Kylo Ren, actually is. The trailer gave us a very interesting first look at the character and it may suggest that he is actually a Skywalker.

A mangled Darth Vader helmet was shown during the trailer that was released about 5 months back and many wondered what it had to do with the story. Kylo Ren is seen in the trailer speaking to the helmet and stating "I will finish what you started." That sounds like a true heir to Darth Vader, possibly a family member? Yes, I understand it may be a bit of a stretch but it makes sense. Why would Kylo Ren feel so vengeful for Vader if he wasn't connected to him on another level other that being his successor? Is he Luke? No way right?...

3. What happened to the Jedi's?

In the scene where Rey and Finn are speaking to Han Solo, she asks him if the "stories" were true, to which he responded "It's true. All of it, the dark side, the Jedi, they're real." Rey seems to be speaking about Jedi as if they are some sort of myth or legend. What has happened to the Jedi since Episode 6? We know that the Empire has fallen and is now "The First Order" but what happened to the Jedi council? This is something that I found very odd about the trailer and it is something that definitely has me scratching my head.

4. Finn is FIGHTING Kylo Ren!

So we saw in the second trailer that Finn was in possession of a blue lightsaber and was possibly about to square off against Kylo Ren. In this new trailer, you see Kylo Ren and Finn squaring off in an epic lightsaber battle just as we suspected! This would have to mean that Finn is possibly a Jedi and has received some sort of Jedi training or else he wouldn't stand a chance against a trained Sith Lord (possibly) such as Kylo Ren. Who will he receive his training from if he is in fact a Jedi? It won't be Luke will it?

Still no Luke? Where is he?

Many die hard Star Wars fans have been waiting in excitement for their first look at Luke Skywalker in over 30 years! We sort of got a look at Luke and R2-D2 in the previous trailer and received the same clip for a brief second in this trailer. This is likely the final trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens so it is unlikely that we will get a look at Luke before the films released. What exactly has he been up to all this time?

The Trailer Was AMAZING!

I must admit, as big of a football fan that I am, I was 10x more excited about this trailer than I was any aspect of the game. The trailer fully lived up to my expectations and then some. This trailer seems to put the icing on the cake for a film that has the potential to break world wide box office records and be this generations definitive Sci-Fi film. I remember watching these films with my father when I was a child and I can't wait to experience this with him 30 years later. The force was truly strong with this trailer!
