Imagine this for a moment: you're a talented but unknown young actress trying to break into a notoriously unforgiving industry. You've booked a few minor roles in modest TV productions and managed to land a brief scene in The Inbetweeners 2, though it ended up being cut from the final film.

Then you get a casting callback from J.J. Abrams. He wants you to star as the lead in one of the most anticipated movies of all time. Suddenly reporters are busting down your door for interviews, fans shout your name on the street, your face is plastered across 50-foot-wide billboards -- you're the face of the most beloved film franchise ever.

It's understandable, then, that Daisy Ridley's emotions got the better of her when she woke up in the middle of the night to watch the final Force Awakens trailer. She seems so genuinely taken aback by the life-changing experience, it gave me chills just watching her. Take a look below.

"Oh my God, it's amazing!"

She wrote:

Totally emotional seeing it for the first time and so so so incredibly awed to be part of this incredible legacy.

It's great to see an actress so humbled, and just as visibly excited by the trailer as the most die-hard of fans.

John Boyega, on the other hand, didn't shed any tears, though he did mantle a sofa after being unable to control his excitement.

Boyega Breakdown!

I think we all know which scene prompted that final floor dive...

The reactions on Twitter were equally exuberant, with industry veterans congratulating the cast and crew on a job well done.

Indeed it is, Cap. December 18 cannot come soon enough. In the meantime, why not hit that play button just one more time...

...and I'm crying again.
