Given the number of horror movies being released this year, getting into the Halloween mindset hasn't been too difficult. But on the off chance you haven't been keeping up with The Babadook or Goodnight Mommy, maybe shorter, fan-made films will creep you out without taking up too much of your time.

So, to get further into the spirit of the season, we're bringing you 11 fan-made shorts based on some of the best Creepypasta entries on the web.

1. White With Red

What he saw was a hotel bedroom, like his, and in the corner was a woman whose skin was incredibly pale. She was leaning her head against the wall, facing away from the door. He stared in confusion for a while.

2. Ability

The next day, I arrived early at the subway station and had some time to kill, so I decided to stand close to the homeless man and listen to his strange mutterings.

3. The Rake

Original story: Based on The Rake stories
Creepy factors: Monsters and jump scares

I have experience the greatest terror. I have experienced the greatest terror. I have experienced the greatest terror. I see his eyes when I close mine. They are hollow. Black. They saw me and pierced me. His wet hand. I will not sleep. His voice (unintelligible text).

4. The Expressionless

Creepy factors: Pretty bloody, a few jump scares, and maybe demon mannequins?

She resembled something close to a mannequin, but had the dexterity and fluidity of a normal human being. Her face was as flawless as a mannequins, devoid of eyebrows and smeared in make-up.
There was a kitten clamped in her jaws so unnaturally tight that no teeth could be seen, and the blood was still squirting out over her gown and onto the floor. She then pulled it out of her mouth, tossed it aside and collapsed.

5. The Midnight Man Ritual

Indications that you are near the Midnight Man will include sudden drop in temperature, seeing a pure black, humanoid figure through the darkness, and hearing very soft whispering coming from an indiscernible source. If you experience any of these, it is advised that you leave the area to avoid the Midnight Man.

6. Sonic.EXE

Creepy factors: Turning childhood games into something scary

Suddenly in a split second I saw Sonic's eyes open and they were black with those red glowing dots, just like that title image, thought [sic] there wasn't a smile. When that happened the screen turned black and the static sound was off.

7. The Girl in the Photograph

In the middle of the night Tom was awakened by a tap on his window. It was like a nail tapping. He got scared. After the tapping he heard a giggle. He saw a shadow near his window, so he got out of his bed, walked toward his window, opened it up and followed the giggling. By the time he reached it, it was gone.

8. Smile Dog

Creepy factors: Slow build and a twist ending

The things Mary said made little sense but fit with the pattern I was expecting: though I could not see her, I could tell from her voice that she was crying, and more often than not her objections to speaking with me centered around an incoherent diatribe on her dreams — her nightmares.

9. Trust

The chair is bolted to the floor, it won't move. The man is pretty close to me, if we could move, we could probably touch. I'm scared. I have no idea how this will play out.

10. 2 AM: The Smiling Man

Creepy factors: Everything is terrifying in this spot-on adaptataion

I took my eyes off of him to cross the empty street. As I reached the other side, I glanced back... and then stopped dead in my tracks. He had stopped dancing and was standing with one foot in the street, perfectly parallel to me. He was facing me but still looking skyward. Smile still wide on his lips.

11. Fathom

Original story: Unknown
Creepy factors: As one of the OG Creepypastas, this short is a classic based on a worldwide phenomenon
