Annabelle is going to be returning to the big screen, courtesy of Warner Bros! The original screenwriter from the first flick, Gary Dauberman, has signed on to write the script. There has been no word, however, as to whether director John Leonetti will be returning.

I always thought that Annabelle was a pretty solid flick. Released in 2014 as a spin-off from the mega success, 'The Conjuring,' 'Annabelle' scared up more than $250 million worldwide. So, it is no surprise that a sequel has been officially announced.

I only wonder when the film will take place. 'Annabelle' was set in 1969, while 'The Conjuring' was set in 1971. My guess is that they are going to squeeze the new flick in between the two.

Seeing as how this will now be the third Annabelle film, I hope that we get some more answers as to the actual origin of the doll. I certainly didn't expect for Annabelle to be a franchise of her own, but I can't complain! She is creepy as hell!

This has become quite the franchise. With 'The Conjuring: The Enfield Poltergeist' opening on June 10, 2016, it could be possible for New Line and Warner Bros. to rush the film into production for an October 2016 release. Stay posted for more information on 'Annabelle 2' in the coming weeks! Are you looking forward to more Annabelle? Sound off in the comments below!
