Ellen Degeneres is no stranger to introducing the public to heartbreaking stories guaranteed to melt your heart into a puddle of feels. But, she outdid herself this week when she invited an unbelievably compassionate little girl and her endlessly supportive mother onto the show.

Between a surprise musical guest, a tearjerker of a performance, and a whole lot of emotions, you have to see this undeniable proof of all the goodness in the world.

The segment starts with the adorably poignant video that landed on Ellen's radar

At only four years old, little McKenna Stanchak serenades her mom, Dianna, who's been battling Stage IV cancer. Wise beyond her years, McKenna knew just how to reach her mom's heart (not to mention millions of viewers online) with Martina McBride's powerful "I'm Gonna Love You Through It."

To honor the Stanchak family's resilience, Ellen brings out a surprise guest

And you can tell by the look on Dianna's face that something unexpected is in store.

Out walks McKenna with none other than Martina McBride herself

The pair immediately break into a rendition of "I'm Gonna Love You Through It," and you can feel the emotion in the room. In front of an intimidating studio audience, she only has one thing on her mind: soothing her mother's pain.

McKenna never once breaks eye contact with her mom

The duet gets increasingly heartwarming just as it becomes harder and harder to keep the tears from gushing.

In the end, it's all about the love between a mother and daughter

And that has to be one of the most touching moments ever capture on television.

You can watch the entire heart-melting video below, but prepare for unavoidable waterworks.
