(Warning: Possible Spoilers For Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Read at your own risk.)
The Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer is arguably one of the most talked about and theorized of all time. There have been countless fan-theories and even more rumors. It was no surprise that when Michael Shannon's body was spotted in the Batman v Superman trailer, people literally went crazy. After all, Superman did break his neck in Man of Steel. There's one question on everyone's mind now:
Is Zod Still Alive?
The whole theory was just a rumor until Cinemablend got a chance to sit down with Michael Shannon, and ask him if he had any lines or if he would just be a corpse:
"Yeah, I say some stuff. But not a whole lot! I mean, I am dead. [Laughs] ...I'm just like a guest. It's kind of like Russell Crowe in the first one. Jor-El. For some reason, these Kryptonian spirits, they linger. Even once you crack my neck, you can't shut me up."
This statement from Michael Shannon does certainly clear a lot up. Zod's appearance in the movie will mean a lot, but what exactly?
What does This Mean For Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice?
If it is true that Zod is indeed able to play a character in the movie, his appearance could serve as a major source of torment for Superman. After all, he did snap his neck, and let thousands of people die in the process. Zod won't pass up the chance to try to get to Superman by guilt tripping him.
You never know, maybe this will lead to the confrontation between Batman and Superman.
