Anyone who regularly keeps up with the Kardashians is well aware of the tumultuous relationship between Khloe and NBA player Lamar Odom. They rushed to the altar to get married in 2009 after only a month of dating, and their relationship ultimately played out in typical reality TV fashion.
Despite concerns from the media and her family about their hurried nuptials, Khloe and Lamar seemed to have one of the more genuine relationships on their multiple Kardashian-based reality shows.
Sadly, due to Odom's struggles with drugs and his refusal to go to rehab, Khloe filed for divorce in December 2013. Even with their divorce in process, the pair have remained close and even tried to save their marriage before both parties signed the papers in July of this year, but the divorce had yet to be finalized.
It wasn't until last week when Odom fell into critical condition after an overdose that Khloe and Lamar decided to give marriage a second chance.
According to TMZ, Laura Wasser, Khloe's attorney, appeared before a judge this morning with a request to withdraw their divorce papers from the pile of unprocessed files, which was reportedly granted.
Given how long it took for Khloe to sign the divorce papers and her multiple declarations of support, clearly she still loves Lamar and has already chosen to stay by his side in these trying times. This Kardashian clearly takes the words "in sickness and in health" seriously, which is worthy of respect.
There's no more word on Lamar's current condition after being moved to a Los Angeles hospital, but the fact that the discussion of their marital status is even on the table is hopefully a good sign.
