I love a good fan theory every now and then. I love reading them and think that it could somehow fit in the movie. But sometimes, there are fan theories that have to be wrong, and you know that its wrong. Fan theories have already been made about "Batman v Superman", one of them, claiming Jason Todd is The Joker. While some of us will have a good laugh at it, or just shake it off, some people actually believe it. But now, a new fan theory has surfaced, and this time it claims that Slade Wilson, aka Deathstroke is the new Batman. I have read the fan theory, and I can tell you, it was poorly written. And I must admit, sometimes my writing can be crappy, but this fan theory has not good. I will give the author props for doing research, but just cause someone worked on something and is now working on another project, it doesn't mean that project is connected to the previous project.
Why make something that fans would be disappointed with? Why make a movie about Bruce Wayne not being Batman. The only film I would want to see with that idea is "Batman Beyond" (or "Batman of the Future" in Europe, Latin America, Australia and India). He also points how the costume is similar to the one Slade had put on in DC Comics published comic "Outsiders". But, we all know that the suit is inspired and based upon Frank Miller's famous "The Dark Knight Returns". It wouldn't make sense to do this plot twist, as we are more familiar with Bruce as Batman and not else-world versions. There is so much I can say, but so little time.
In conclusion, Batman is still our good 'ole Bruce Wayne. Zack Snyder had even said, “Ben provides an interesting counter-balance to Henry’s Superman. He has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older and wiser than Clark Kent and bears the scars of a seasoned crime fighter, but retain the charm that the world sees in billionaire Bruce Wayne." He literally just confirmed he'll be Bruce Wayne. And, the reason that Bruce was on the phone? Well maybe he was talking to Alfred during the attack on Metropolis. And the logo of Wayne Enterprises, aka Wayne Financial, they said it was the same as the one in the Nolan trilogy, well, it's way different. To be honest, if they were to use the same logo; its because they feel lazy to just make another one.
But, we still have questions that need to be answered. And fan theories that are weird and bogus, are not the way to go. "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will be released on March 25, 2016, and is rated PG-13.
