Another tough week with our spread picks had everyone scrambling and scratching their heads including yours truly. With only seven wins to declare this week I might as well as turn right back around and just run off that cliff but oh no. We on this side of the register stay firm and come out with a week 7 blitz that will catch the leader board off guard and turn them into a grassy pancake. We are well beyond the point when we can begin to throw caution at the wind.

New York Jets at New England Patriots -9.5

There's only one game that matters this week, and that is the New York Jets visiting the New England Patriots in what is shaping up to be a collision of AFC Titans. We are close to halfway through the season and at at the point where teams are who they are and separate themselves from the pack. The crowd chasing the Patriots is loaded but I always give the Jets a wild card up their sleeve because the rivalry between these two both in the game and between the cities is so strong that it can have an effect on the outcome.

This is the biggest test of Todd Bowles in his first year as head coach of the Jets and it's a tall order to ask to bring down such a formidable opponent in the Patriots. I think the win against the Redskins said a lot about how far the organization has come in such a short time, but it will speaks volumes to what kind of coach he is if he can pull of a win in a place the Jets haven't won since Favre was their QB which I'm sure you totally forgot even happened.

The Patriots change personal but as long as Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are still the foundation they will be the well oiled machine that is going to dominate the East and the rest of the AFC.

This is the kind of game the Jets show up for. Everyone is playing pretty well and even Fitzpatrick has turned a few heads but Vegas is daring you to take the Jets at a whopping -10 points for the Patriots even against the Jets #1 Defense and even though the Jets are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 games against the Patriots in October.

This game will define the Jets season I don't care what anyone wants to says. If they want to change the tired dynamic of the AFC they are going to have to win the division. To win the division you have to beat the Patriots and dare I say beat them twice. 10-6 might not get you in the wild card and 14-2 is what is expected from the Patriots by everyone. If the Jets split with the Pats your're talking about the Patriots possibly going 13-3. The Jets have to top that if they want a division and looking at the Jets schedule right now you can only agree to maybe 11 wins, and even that isn't guaranteed. Cincinnati, Denver and Indianapolis are all in the driver seat in their respective divisions and the wild cards will be the Jets and Pittsburgh as of now. A win on Sunday can give the Jets a lot of rocket power to pushing through the remainder of the season.

A lot will depend on Fitzpatrick playing the game of his life. He is gonna have to take charge and make it happen so everyone follows his lead. Expect 2 picks for sure, maybe even a fumble. Question is will he bounce back like he did against the Redskins? The Jets have the better defense and Chris Ivory will have a huge target on his back. Remember Belichick will take away one thing and everyone will be tuned in to stop the run so Fitzpatrick and Decker are gonna have to make it happen so that Marshall can work his magic downfield. The minute linebacker start pulling back they'll be able to start feeding Ivory. The third quarter of this game is gonna be real interesting and it will be key for the Jets to prevent the Patriots from scoring in the last 2 minutes of the half.

The Jets can win this game. While you are laughing they have the number defense and the number 8 offense. They are 21st passing but are #1 rushing. Pats may have the #1 offense but they'll have their troubles with the Jets #1 Defense. The Patriots will make plays but it won't be many. Gronk hasn't had a wow game in a while and these are the ones where he is most dangerous. But with Brady under fire he might be prone to throw it up for grabs and though Gronk is very capable of picking it out of the air so is Revis and Cromartie...
