What's up you bootiful ghouls and goblins! Monster High first came into our lives as dolls then the our monster divas got a web series, movies and books - now there headed for the big screen. With Halloween only a little over a week away we're all letting our freak flags fly. What better way to that then to get excited about the upcoming live action Monster High film?
Universal is jumping in the race with many other studios to put out a well- casted, universally-loved and not-fan-hated live action adaption. But can they do it? They apparently found an scaretastic director to bring this film from death to flesh.
Deadline reports Ari Sandel (The Duff) is reportedly going to cast her directorial magic on our freaky but fashionable monster high friends. The spooktacular producers and writers who've joined the film are Stephanie Savage (The O.C), Josh Schwartz (Gossip Girls), Neil Merton and Craig Zadan (Hairspray).
The film's story is going to focus on the main monster, zombie and vampire teens (Draculaura, Frankie Stein, Clawdeen, etc) trying to help their fellow ghouls out while dealing with their own problems. Because we all know how horrible high school can be - it's even worse with your ghoul!
Before the film's released I recommend watching some of the past animated films. To help you out I listed my top three totally vamptastic favorites below!
1. Monster High: Frights, Camera, Action!
Frights, camera, action is my number one favorite because Hoodude Voodoo was kinda of the main character this time. Plus they introduce his updated look and you got to admit, he looked awesome! There is so much spooky fun in this film - go out and rent it now!
2. Monster High: Escape from Skull Shore
Oh my ghoul I had such a blast watching this one. I've seen it about 15 times - it never gets old! I love the how this story shows that friendship always conquersbullying. But it's also cool that movie is mostly about Lagoona and Gil's relationship - their my favorite ghoul couple!
3. Monster High: Why Do Ghouls Fall in Love?
This one is all about Draculaura; she not my favorite ghoul but she's super cute and brave in this film. Trying to figure out that hard thing called love and without freaking out because she's dating her friend Clawdeen's brother! It's another must-see Monster High film I promise you'll love it!
Doesn't the news just make you wanna howl at the moon? The film is rumored to come out October 7th 2016. Mark your calendars guys, it's gonna get spooky next year!
