The Spider-verse has become a huge hit in the last couple moths since it has come out. Now before I get into what it would take, I'm guessing a lot of you have no idea what I'm talking about.
In marvel there is this thing called the muti-verse, this is a theory that some scientists actually believe. It's basically saying that there are infinite amounts of universes out there and each one is a different or alternate version of our own. That being said that also means there are infinite amount of possibilities that could possibly happen, one where I grow up and become the president or one where the only thing that is different is that instead of a article about this I made one about Superman.
Well our story involves many MANY Spidermen, like Peter Parker, the ultimate universes Miles Moralis, Scarlet Spider (both Ben Riley and Kane), Superior Spider-man, Spider-man 2099, Peter Proker or Spider-ham, and soooooo many more! I'm just gonna skim really really quick over it, since a whole cover on the Spider-verse would take a whole article by it's self.
Basically there's these people trying to kill ALL of the spider-men, but, they try to learn how to clone them, because, they feed on spider-men or women. And all the spider-men get together, form an army, and go to war with these people. It's full of great action and A LOT of good old Spider-man comedy. I really recommend it, it's probably one of the best things to come out of Marvel NOW!
So what would it take to make something like this for the movies? Probably more that a thousand movies. Okay let me get something straight, Spider-man has been around for a very long time. He has undergone lots of different powers and transformations. A lot of these Spider-men are versions were he didn't give up these abilities, suits, or powers. Like him keeping the Venom suit, for Marvels Civil War Ironman made Peter a Iron-Spider suit, there is a character where he's just a version that never took off that suit. One time Spider-man was granted the power of the universe, all the power in the world, the Captain Universe Spider-man actually plays a big part in the story. Now it would be very hard with just this, because, the movies would have to establish all of these things that have happened before. There would have to be several Avengers movies just to set this up, Civil War, Secret Wars, and many more. Then there are characters that through the days, Marvel has just created, that are all from different universes. Miles Moralis is a universe where Peter Parker has died and a new African-American takes the mantel of Spider-man. The Scarlet Spider Ben Riley was one of the clones of Peter Parker that eventually died, so another clone named Kane who has the powers of a spider god named The Other took the mantel. Superior Spider-man is Doctor Octopus who took control of Peter Parkers body. Spider-man 2099 is known as Mogual Ohair and is a time traveling Spider-man from the year 2099. and Peter Porker or Spider-ham is a world where all heroes are animals and Thor is a frog, Captain America is a cat, Hulk is a bunny, and Ironman is a mouse.
Any-way my point is that it would take wayyyyy to long to actually make this into a movie since it wouldn't be right if they just threw in all these characters, they would have to establish them. Well thats my opinion as to why the Spider-verse probably isn't gonna be a movie. If you would like me to go over the whole Spider-verse please comment. Thank you!
