The picture above doesn't have Ariel in it. I don't care.

So, there's an interesting theory out there that I believe is plausible. It involves the Disney movies, Frozen (2013), Tangled (2010), and The Little Mermaid (1989). Here it is:

At the beginning of Frozen, after "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?", Anna and Elsa's parents travel to a place overseas, but the ship sinks, killing them. The ship they were in pretty closely resembles the ship that Ariel and Flounder were swimming around at the beginning of The Little Mermaid.

There are a few missing features when we see it in The Little Mermaid, but that is most likely because the ship has aged through time.

But where were they even going that was so important that they had to leave their kids?

Well, keep this in mind: Tangled was released three years before Frozen. And after the King and Queen (the parents) die, we see "Three years later...", and that's when the main events of the film take place.

And on coronation day, when Anna is singing, who's that we see on the left?

It looks like Rapunzel and Flynn, don't you think?

If you've never watched Tangled, and you're thinking the girl with the brown short hair can be Rapunzel, at the end of Tangled, Flynn cuts off her hair to kill the witch. Her hair also became brown. After that, they had a wedding, three years before Frozen, the time Elsa and Anna's parents died.

Now if a young girl's parents died on the way to YOUR wedding, you would feel obliged to go to the girl's coronation, right?

And that's it.
