After the newest Star Wars trailer made its debut Monday, it completely broke the Internet. Especially when they decided to begin selling tickets in the exact same week. Ticket selling websites were repeatedly crashing as numerous fans were eager to purchase their own set. So who exactly are the people predominately buying all of the tickets?

Obvious, isn't it?

Statistics from the marketing firm Movio, show that men are the fans that have dominantly been purchasing Star Wars tickets two months before the film comes out. Most of the men were between the ages of 18-49, with an average age of 34. Most of the buyers would go the movies regularly, at least once a month, mostly as a group. Movio also found that they spend 2.6 times more than average at the box office than a common moviegoer and that 67 percent of them watch newly released movies within the first week that they came out.

Of course Star Wars isn't just any regular movie to be released this year. The Force is strong with this film. Everybody should know that the box office will be on fire in December. The men that have purchased Star Wars tickets today were mostly between the ages of 10 and 11 when the first film was released back in 1977. The youngest in the age group were about two years old when Phantom Menace came out in 1999. There are a lot of high expectations for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, as fans have been waiting for the franchise to continue for a long time.
