When I first saw Amy Jo Johnson on television she played Kimberly Hart, Pink Power Ranger on Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. I woke up early every Saturday to watch the show just for her. She inspired me to do a lot of activities; not only did she save the world from monsters, but she did gymnastics, martial arts, played guitar, sang, and the list goes on.
As the years went by and the Rangers started changing with every new season, I always wondered what had happened to Amy Jo. After all, she was my favorite Ranger on the original team because I wanted to be just like her. Years later, I came across a show called Flashpoint and lo' and behold, Amy Jo was on it. Flashpoint, a show about a Canadian Strategic Response Unit that's called in to help the local police handle high end cases, was not only entertaining, but an emotional roller coaster. The characters were relatable and honest.
I honestly thought that it made the show ten times better with her on it. I instantly loved her character. The show as a whole was amazing and it displayed her acting abilities quite nicely. I definitely enjoyed how Amy Jo went from saving the world from alien monsters to saving the world and protecting the people from everyday, real-life monsters that we hear about in the news. Amy Jo is still a huge inspiration to me and I don’t think she’ll ever stop being an inspiration.
