Wow..... that's almost all anyone can say after this past episode of The Walking Dead. Fair warning, everything from now on will be SPOILERS if you have not seen episode 6.03 "Thank You."

"Good luck, Dumbass." - Glenn
"Good luck, Dumbass." - Glenn

Season six has been a wild ride from the beginning! Episode one: Biggest herd of walkers on the show to date! Episode two: Attack on the safe haven that is Alexandria by the mysterious group, The Wolves. Episode three: The "downfall" of one of the six remaining characters from season one: Glenn Rhee.

The reason "downfall" is in quotes is because we, the audience, don't know the fate of our favorite pizza boy. We are led to believe that Glenn has finally lived up to the name of "walker bait" as he falls into a group of walkers with Nicholas' corpse on top. But in Talking Dead's "In Memoriam" segment, Glenn's name is not listed (THANK GOD!). However, when host Chris Hardwick read a statement from TWD executive producer, Scott M. Gimple, it only added fuel to the "What will happen to Glenn?" fire.

In someway we will see Glenn, some version of Glenn, or parts of Glenn again either in flashback or in the current story to help complete the story. - Scott M. Gimple (via Chris Hardwick on Talking Dead)
What have you done to us....?
What have you done to us....?

With everything that has happened on TWD and Talking Dead, here are a few thoughts on what could be the fate of Glenn

Option 1: He's Walker Fodder

R.I.P. T-Dog
R.I.P. T-Dog

The bleakest outcome, but still a possibility. After all, that was how T-Dog met his end in the beginning of season three. The fact Glenn's name was not in the memoriam list probably means that the guts and blood being ripped apart belongs to Nicholas. But with literal dead weight on top of him AND the dozens of walker hands grabbing at him, the odds are really not in his favor. This episode acted almost like a mini-tribute to Glenn as well: being the first character we see on screen, the story of David and his wife oddly resembling that of him and Maggie, and Glenn calling Rick a dumbass over the radio (a nod to the first line Glenn spoke on the show). There is a big chance that we just witnessed his death and are just waiting for confirmation.

On the other hand, Glenn is no stranger to having to get out of tough situations. Which leads to option 2:

Option 2: Glenn's Alive And Will Find A Way Out

Cutting it close, buddy...
Cutting it close, buddy...

As you can see above, Glenn might have the record for narrowly escaping death. He's dealt with walkers face to face, in close quarters, tied up, and piled on in the past among other life threatening situations. If you watch the episode again closely, there is a brief moment in the overhead shot where you see Glenn's face and in the next frame it has disappeared from view. There is a possibility that he managed to slip his way underneath the dumpster. His escape route from there will be another problem in itself. Maybe he still has the walkie talkie they were using during the walker roundup to call for assistance.

But what if by the time a rescue party gets there it's too late....

Option 3: Walker Glenn

Could this happen to Glenn?
Could this happen to Glenn?

Imagine this: A rescue party consisting of Rick, Michonne, Heath and Maggie set out to find Glenn. After fighting their way through or distracting the herd away from the dumpster, the final walker in the back is none other than Glenn.

Mind Blown!
Mind Blown!

It has been a long time since we've seen a member of the group turn. For that matter, we've only seen seen five group members get zombified (if you include Hershel's head). Scott Gimple did say that we'll see "some form" of Glenn to resolve the story line, so to have an epic reveal of Walker Glenn to the group could be the most heartbreaking moment on the show since the loss of Beth. We have seen this foreshadowed a couple of times: Glenn's multiple walker piles and almost getting bit and Maggie searching the prison bus for Glenn (either his corpse or walker form). So overall, this might not come to us as big of a surprise, but will nevertheless be traumatic for the viewers.

This season has been full of insane and captivating moments and it's only been THREE EPISODES! With episode four being another 90-minute episode, we will hopefully get the answers we're all dying to receive. But till then, what do you think will happen to Glenn? Has he found a way to safety like he has in the past or has his luck finally run out? Leave a comment or write your own post!
