If you haven't already read Neil Gaiman's Fortunately, the Milk I suggest you get yourself a copy as soon as possible, because it is hilarious and you are missing out.

Should you, for some strange reason, not wish to read the book, you are in luck. Johnny Depp is in talks with Fox to both produce and star in a movie adaption of the book, directed by Edgar Wright. The movie will be part animation, part live-action and will be animated by Animal Logic Entertainment, the same guys who animated The LEGO Movie.

Fortunately, the Milk tells the story of a dad coming back after going out to buy milk for his kids' cereal. The kids are wondering what took him so long, and the dad explains that he was faced with a series of obstacles including (but not limited to) a time-traveling dinosaur, aliens and pirates.

The person in the balloon basket said 'I hope you don't mind me helping, but it looked like you were having problems down there.' I said, 'You're a Stegosaurus.'

Neil Gaiman is an award-winning writer with a massive fanbase. He is the author behind Coraline, and has also written some episodes of Doctor Who. It's safe to say that Johnny Depp and Edgar Wright have some big shoes to fill, Fortunately, the Milk has received excellent reviews and is loved by many fans. If it's done well, this could be a very funny movie and I for one will definitely go see it.
