Robert Downey Jr., one of, if not the, most beloved Marvel Superheroe in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is known to have become a great man, and the proof for that is what he just did on Instagram.
The father of a boy that suffers from a desease called Cystic Fibrosisc, a genetic disorder that affects mostly the lungs but also the pancreas, liver, kidneys and intestine It is caused by the presence of mutations in both copies of the gene for the protein cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator, reached out to Robert on instagram, showing a picture of Daniel and explaining his situation, but he explained more than just the boy's desease. He said that the boy, in school, is bullied by the other kids, that laugh at his desease, but the boy, being awesome as he is, answers, by saying that his chest ports are just like Tony Stark's arc reactor. The father asked for Robert to just send a message or just a tiny comment to brighten Daniel's spirit, since he just went back to the hospital, after a kid (stupid, stupid kid) telling him that all children with Cystic Fibrosis die.
Robert being awesome, did indeed answer:
How awesome is that?
This isn't the first time Robert shows his awesomeness, this past March he personally delivered a 3D printed prosthetic arm to a very delighted and surprised 7-year-old boy named Alex, courtesy of the Microsoft OneNote team’s Collective Project. The innovative arm was a special red and gold Iron Man armor-themed design, as the project was tasked with creating lightweight and affordable artificial limbs. Alex was a huge Iron Man fan – and to have Tony Stark himself deliver the arm was his dream come true.
