Actress Leah Remini recently hit the headlines with an announcement that she'll be releasing a tell-all book, exposing the secrets of Scientology, which ruled her life for 37 years. Her book, Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology, will released in November and has caused quite a stir among famous Scientologists such as Tom Cruise and Kirstie Alley.

Since leaving the church, Remini has revealed that she was genuinely afraid of the institution which supposedly puts serious restrictions on relationships, families, and who a person can and cannot talk to.

"No one is going to tell me how I need to think, no one is going to tell me who I can, and cannot talk to...I'm not about to shut up. We stand united, my family and I, and I think that says a lot about who we are and what we're about."

Remini is to be commended for confidently speaking out against an institution she deems genuinely harmful, and I'm sure plenty of us are interested to see what secrets are revealed in her book.

True Fear

It's not been long since Leah Remini admitted she was afraid of the repercussions of leaving the Church of Scientology, but it seems that for Leah, fear is still very much on the surface.

When hosting Dancing with the Stars on Monday, Remini clearly forgot that it was Halloween week -- suddenly falling to the ground in fear when "attacked" by a clown.

For a heartbeat I'm sure Scientology was the furthest thing from Remini's mind, as she launched herself to the ground, retreating from the man in the clown mask.

None of us are doubting that the clown mask is terrifying, but you have to wonder if diving to the ground was really Remini's best option.

I've heard of fight, freeze, or flight, but Remini seems to have added a forth step in which you retreat to the floor! I'll definitely give that a try the next time I'm attacked by a crazed, murderous clown.

Although we can't say for certain that there wasn't a Scientologist hiding behind the clown mask, we can probably assume that the folks over at D.W.T.S. were just looking to scare the s**t out of the actress. It seems like they succeeded!

You have to admire Leah Remini's confidence and sophistication; after quickly recovering her demeanor and yelling a little abuse at the clown, the former King of Queens actress was back on her feet, no worse off after the horrific experience.

She was met with nothing but courteous professionalism from her co-stars on D.W.T.S., who offered her support and kindness in her time of need.

Well done Leah Remini for getting on board with the joke and embracing Halloween. It's always good to see stars getting a good fright on screen, but even better when they make a joke of it! Since the incident, Leah Remini has been spotted alive and well on Twitter, cheerfully discussing the fright.

With friends and fans flocking to join Leah in her moment of humiliation, it really seems everyone is getting into the Halloween spirit.

Remember, Halloween is quickly approaching and celebrities are working hard to make it a good one, so make sure to get your costume and bring in the scariest night of the year in style! Tom Cruise has his Halloween costume... do you have yours?

Watch the video of Leah Remini's tumble below, and let us know what you think!

I've also included a report which discusses her departure from Scientology.
