Star Wars creator George Lucas is not only talented and insanely creative; he is also such an incredibly generous man who has no problem helping this world become a better place.

The George Lucas Family Foundation is donating $10 million to the University of Southern California's film school to help provide financial support to African-American and Hispanic students.

This money is set to establish the George Lucas Foundation Endowed Student Support Fun for Diversity.

George Lucas is very aware that Hispanic and African-American storytellers are lacking in film, and therefore he set this program up to help give the youth the finances they need to pursue their goals in the entertainment industry.

Although Lucas donated $175 million to his alma matter USC in 2006, this new donation is considered the largest single donation for student support in school history.

But George Lucas is not the only charitable one of the Star Wars crew! Below is a list of more Jedis and princesses galore who are also very much active in charity work.

1. Mark Hamill

Mark Hamill has no problem taking time out of his busy day to make hospital visits at the Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland, Oregon. He and his family are also involved with Children Helping Poor and Homeless Children.

Mark even asks fans to donate money to charities on his birthday as a way of helping those in need. He also attends meet-and-greet sessions for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which as helped raised enough money to grant the wishes of several seriously ill children.

4. Natalie Portman

Along with being associated with numerous charities, Portman has helped push FINCA's Village Banking Campaign to mobilize the people and resources needed to bring financial services to one million of the world’s lowest-income families through 100,000 Village Banks annually by 2010.

As someone who also graduated from USC, I hope to someday be a professional actor who can give back to my alma matter. I aim to help those who are under-represented as well. George Lucas, you are such a positive inspiration and someone I wholeheartedly look up to!
